Yellow panama hat
Because, yellow red block.
Many have this idea that colourblocking is about wearing clothes made of up complete bold solid colours (and looking like The Wiggles). However the style also extends to outfits that have a contrast panel of colour pop in the way of stripes, grids, and patchwork.
The important thing to note when colour blocking is to stick with simple shapes and choose clashing colours that have the same intensity. If you are working with contrast panels, keep the rest of the outfit neutral and have at least two opposing colours (otherwise it really isn’t colour blocking) or you can do the extreme and throw in every shade in the colour wheel.
When you colour block next, try
1) wearing a coloured hat or one with a popping contrast panel (it doesn’t just have to be clothes)
2) juxtaposing yellow and red (it works, can’t you see)
3) sticking with a dapper look (if you are concerned with looking too quirky)
