Tradie chic
Because, tradie chic.
Let’s be honest and admit that tradesmen’s workwear can sometimes be our go-to option in terms of sartorial choices. It is not necessarily fashionable or dapper per se but there is a certain edge to the shorts, boots, overall casualness and ruggedness that gives it its own style.
The challenge that you are likely to face when adopting a tradie chic look is the outfit might appear lacklustre and/or you might end up looking like a tradesman. However a tweak here and there is all you need to achieve an effortless tradie inspired look.
The next time you feel like channeling some rugged chic, try
1) cuffing your shorts (for a more relevant and stylish approach to wearing shorts)
2) layering your T-shirt with an unbuttoned shirt (this creates a dapper contrast against the casual approach)
3) wearing patterned socks (this step will definitely stop you from looking like a tradesmen. I mean, have you seen any plumber wearing Happy Socks?)
