Wide open, I’ma cut you
Leather jackets are often associated with subcultures such as motorcyclists, military aviators, metalheads, punks and it is no wonder that fashionistas are using them to portray an intimidating appearance and to achieve that essence of cool.
However a leather jacket is not an easy garment to pull off as there are considerations such as fit, cut, styling etc to take into account. Next time you want to make a statement with a leather jacket without appearing like you are trying too hard, try
1) wearing a white top (so that the look does not come across as stark)
2) adding a print element (to soften that menacing look)
3) juxtaposing it with a preppy element such as oxford shoes.
