Posing like the camera isn’t there
Because, tweeting details that no one cares about while posing like the camera isn’t there.
These days, pink is associated with sensitivity, tenderness and ultimately femininity.
This gender stereotype was interestingly reversed at the turn of the century where pink was the
colour for boys and blue for girls. Pink was considered a stronger colour while blue was
more delicate and dainty.
That said, there are masculine, hetereosexual or dapper guys who simply like a pink garment and
there are ways to wear it so that you will be complimented rather than be stared at. For your next
pink adventure, try
1) adopting a sporty look with nylon jackets and sneakers (to lessen any conception of femininity if that is what you have issues with)
2) adding a contrast dark colour (so that the pink would stand out even more)
3) adding a statement accessory such as glasses or watch (which draws some attention away from the pink and also giving that idea that you have
put together the outfit seamlessly).
