Only four seasons too late
Because, green shiny metal.
Metallic is without a doubt still a high fashion trend that might take a few seasons to cross over into mainstream menswear or perhaps even never. When Prada and Burberry sent models down the runway for their AW2011 and SS2013 respectively, the fashion world celebrated the metallic intensity but many questioned its wearability. Its vivid shininess immediately draws attention to the wearer and most men generally do not seek that attention.
Wearing a metallic garment is not for the timid but there is no need to feel intimidated when you desire to adorn something lustrous for the first time. The fundamental to wearing something this bold is to keep the entire outfit simple. If you ever feel the need to shine as bright as your lover or even outshine them, try
1) wearing navy or black trousers (to tone down the metallic element of the outfit)
2) adopting a sporty silhouette (sneakers, wayfarers)
3) theming it with similar colour detailing to maintain uniformity (shoes, belt, bracelet).
