Monochromatic menswear
Black and white have mostly been limited to a white shirt/black suit look but that combination as a theme has become more prevalent, especially in the SS14 mens collection. They are fool-proof colours that are easy to work with and the combination can create a simple yet effortless, visually outstanding look.
The two colours are at the extreme end of the palette but due to its monochromatic scheme, can create an effective and bold contrast (think dominos, zebras, dalmatians).
The important thing to remember is to achieve a balance between both colours or wear slightly more white as black has the tendency to overpower. When the time comes for you to adopt a domino theme, try
1) wearing white shoes instead of black (to stand out against your black shoe peers)
2) choosing a white shirt with contrasting black details (rather than a full white shirt)
3) completing the look with a statement hat (to bring the look to a new level).
