Black & White
Because channelling that pensive in black and white.
While there are some fashionistas who religiously embrace black only like most Australians embrace vegemite,
it is highly not recommended to wear a fully black ensemble unless you are one of those living such a lifestyle.
A head-to-toe black outfit can suggest laziness and come across as uninspiring and while Rick Owens aficionados
would beg to differ, most people do not look like a Rick Owens model (waif-like or with sharp, distinct features that
could cut ice).
That said it is however not all that depressing in wearing a nearly all black ensemble. The next time you decide to head
in that direction, try
1) introducing texture which will give the outfit another dimension
2) adding an element of colour contrast in order for the ensemble to pop
3) not to layer excessively nor wear anything too voluminous (ironic fans of black argue that black is slimming
and go on to pile on layers or wear unflattering voluminous garments).
