Modernist neoprene
Because, sweater on sweater.
There is a certain stigma with fedora hats as a menswear accessory; it is not fashion. If you have paid enough attention, most men who adorn a fedora hat are usually older men, geeks or lazy gentlemen whose sense of style ceases when they put on that hat because they assume
it will lift their mundane look.
The fedora hat has existed since the early 20th century and although its silhouette and social connotations have not changed, there are ways to use it to spruce up your look. The keyword to remember is modernise (and own it, since hats can often add personality to the wearer but alsoshow their vulnerability if they are overly wary).
On the next occasion you feel the confidence to put on a fedora and prance, try
1) modernising the hat with sneakers (to create a sport luxe look)
2) wearing a neoprene jumper or jacket (nothing says current and high fashion than this fabric du jour)
3) knotting a jumper around your waist (you might be labelled a sweaterdouche but you will be a 90s-cool, fashionable douche which is ALWAYS a good thing).
