Weber Hodel Feder AW17 Shoes

The AW17 footwear collection from Weber Hodel Feber sees the return of the popular velcro brogue in low and hi tops as well as the introduction of the Monkey boots and Cap-toe derbies. Autumnal colours like chocolate, deep navy and sand run through this collection, with a campaign that is inspired by the Bally archives of mid century shoe billboards.
Founded in 2012 by Matthias Weber, Niklaus Hodel and Florian Feder, the designers hail from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp with a collective work experience of nearly three decades.
Blending the brand’s street sophistication with artisanal savoir-faire, the shoes are fashionable pieces that are stocked at coveted boutiques like Opening Ceremony, Colette and Selfridges.
Instead of using models for the AW17 lookbook – which can sometimes divert focus on anything else other than the shoes themselves – WHF worked with art director Thomas Berger on innovative imagery to showcase the footwear .
Graphic artist Marcel Freymond illustrated subliminally over the products with mix techniques of stencil cut outs, pops of vibrant colours and clean product shots. This flashy campaign indicates the brand’s keenness to offer products that are cool yet wearable at the same time.
