Lunettes Kollektion x John Lawrence Sullivan Sunglasses
Collaborations are rife these days and Lunettes Kollektion, a Berlin optical line, is one of the few who have continuously partnered up with menswear labels to design capsule collections. The latest to come from this brand is with Japanese label, John Lawrence Sullivan.
Debuted at Paris Men’s Fashion Week, the three-piece range is a variation of the popular style, Bon Vivant, and comes in matte black, incense, and matte tortoise. To add a subtle flare, the sunglasses are finished with silver-mirrored lenses, a signature style from the eyewear line and the John Lawrence Sullivan name is imprinted atop the frame’s double bridge.
Crafting from the finest materials, Lunettes Kollektion introduces modern and sophisticated aesthetics. Starting with the highest quality cellulose acetate, the designs are unisex and amplify the wearer’s style and individuality. The frames have an opulent range of colours, flexibility and are light and easy to wear.

The John Lawrence Sullivan collection, where the sunglasses feature, takes its concept from the ideal of masculine delicacy and the strength of men. The end result is a sartorial selection that is tense yet exciting, complemented by the sunglasses as indispensable accessories.
Akashi Yanagawa, designer of John Lawrence Sullivan, said the label’s design motivation is to respect history and tradition but ultimately coming up with something new. This is where their ethos align with Lunettes Collection – what began as a vintage eyewear shop, designer Uta Geyer went on to create her own range that is original and wearable.
While collaborations in the fashion industry are common and can see brands enjoying mutual benefits, it is important that there is a synergy between the two. Both brands are known for their innovative approach so this partnership between Lunettes Collection and John Lawrence Sullivan is a match made in heaven.
