Noose & Monkey AW16
English menswear label Noose & Monkey returns with their rebellious take on tailoring and individuality for AW16, and the collection features strong outerwear evening wear and audacious fabrics.
The brand started in 2014 as a gentleman’s accessories line before expanding into tailoring. They continuously push the limits on what we’ve come to associate with classic tailoring, often mixing smart and casual and offering garments that can be styled for any occasion.
This season marks the return of the brand’s bestselling coat, the Hinton, which has been given a new and improved fit in different colours and fabrics. There are also bold leopard print and black velvet and classics in camel, khaki and navy.
Evening wear is what the brand does best – from floral to velvets, blazers to 3-piece, the stand out pieces for this season is the new gold leopard print velvet jacket and faux pony hair blazer that are bound to elicit attention for whatever occasion.
Like the previous Noose & Monkey SS16 campaign, a sense of rebellion and non-conformity echoes loudly in the imagery. Set against an opulent backdrop, the clothes, adorn by heroin chic models, reinforce the expressive tailoring ethos.
The brand successfully highlights that you can wear the collection how you like it and wherever you want. There are no rules as opposed to traditional tailoring and that’s what make Noose & Monkey an exciting label.
