Ex Infinitas Autumn Winter 17

For AW17, Ex Infinitas continues with a collection that is inspired by 70s surf culture and modern punk. Founded by Luke Vincent and known for its artful streetwear, the brand also successfully incorporates luxury materials and strong tailoring.
Recently named the 2016 Australian final of the International Woolmark Prize, the AW17 range introduces gothic undertones through colours like blood red, emerald greens, velvety black and a hint of metallic silver.
Ex Infinitas pumps up the volume with streetwear inspired pieces, playing with oversized and elongated silhouettes. Tailored jackets are styled with contrast surfboard leg ropes as belts which instantly give the looks a point of difference.
This season sees Vincent collaborating with renown Australian brand, UGG, to re-imagine the 70s original “surf boot” in a range of Merino sheepskin footwear in rich black and vibrant colours. Bucket hats, which featured in SS17, also appear in the AW17 collection made with natural and black fur.
Raised in a suburban Melbourne beach town, Vincent examines the idea of wandering surfers during the colder months and adeptly conjures a new sub-culture that reflects this Artic “snow surfing” theme.
