Carlos Campos Spring Summer 2018

The collection: One of the few menswear designers to embrace colours, the Carlos Campos Spring Summer 2018 collection channels his Latin background – electric blue, vivid red, clean white alongside navy and beige.
Campos’ signatures come in clean lines with a relaxed fit this season. Outerwear are elongated while slightly oversized polos and shirtings are finished with sartorial size that still highlight the models’ masculine figure.
The inspiration: Influenced by Mexican architect and engineer Luis Barragan, known for his Modernist sharp lines and colour blocking, Campos introduces a zig zag print as well as diagonal contrast cut and sew pattern.
The brand: Born in Honduras, tailoring runs through the Campos family. After graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Campos debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2001 before he founded his namesake label in 2006. Today, the brand focuses on menswear with injection of women’s pieces as well.
We love: The beige jumpsuit with contrast red panel saves the workwear inspired piece from looking like a mechanic overall and we can definitely see ourselves living in it during trans-seasonal months.
