Acne Studios releases its SS16 men’s campaign, shot by David Sims in Biarritz, France. 

Starring Californian-born, Biarritz-based surfer Robin Kegel – who also created exclusive prints for the SS16 collection – this is the brand’s first menswear campaign. The images have a lo-fi and polaroid-like aesthetic that feature printed jumpsuits that are almost as tall as Kegel’s surfboards, cashmere sweaters that have a pilled effect and oversized, orange sunglasses. 

Creative Director, Jonny Johannsson, said of the campaign “I’m obsessed with surfing, and have long admired Robin and his aesthetic. We spent some wonderful days there, both surfing and creating the campaign.”

The imagery will be used for outdoor advertising and continues the brand’s take on gender fluidity.
