The collection: Acne Studios Men’s Spring Summer 18 collection takes inspiration from the change in city life to the tranquility of summer house during the warmer months. Coats are elongated yet light weight, cut in linen and gabardine, perfect to lounge in and relax. Plaid checks, which resemble tea towels stored in drawers, are used on voluminous trousers while traditional colours of Swedish summer houses appear in the form of a faluröd red trench and a dalablå blue loose-fitting suit.

Creative Director Jonny Johansson says he “wanted to capture that transition in this collection” and once again, the Swedish label succeeds in crafting clothes that are functional as much as they exude a sense of inspired theme.

The presentation: Continuing its focus on intimate showcases, this season sees models sit casually on wooden stools like how they would while lounging. Presentations like these give every buyer and media the opportunity to get up close and personal and appreciate the detailing of the garments, which Acne Studios is known for.

We love: The use of sheer chiffon on trousers and jackets outer layering gives hints of soft tailoring and the brand’s brilliance when it comes to keeping the designs relevant and edgy. We’ll definitely be rocking the transparent button up shirt during the warmer months.
