UTC00 is a global brand where its products are stocked in some of the most coveted international stores. The designers work from different cities – London, Milan and Seoul – each one taking inspiration from their diverse urban locales. From shoes to bags, UTC00 is about a practical approach when it comes to working or travelling and providing guys with functional and timeless products.

The iconic backpack, the #BKP01, is the centrepiece of the SS16 collection. The canvas and nylon backpack features padded shoulder straps, aluminium buckles and Velcro-fastening internal compartments. The collection extends to briefcases, document wallets and weekend bags in pops of cobalt blue, emerald green and safety orange and for SS16, the brand also introduces sneakers and sandals.

Not much else is known about the designers, who prefer to let the products and design speak for themselves. We do know that the name UTC00 comes from the abbreviation for Coordinated Universal Time. Working from different cities means the designers use different times to regulate meetings and develop the brand.

While the vivid colours of SS16 exude youthful elements, the progressive and utilitarian aesthetics translate a masculine quality that is prevalent across the products. The brand’s ethos is also represented in the details of each product where style and substance meet seamlessly. The premium products start at around £120 for a bum bag and £210 for a backpack and will appeal to savvy travellers and contemporary guys.
