Mismo SS16 Briefcases and Luggage
Started back in 2003, MISMO is a Danish brand that came about when Adam Alexander Bach and Rikke Overgaard decided to provide travellers and city dwellers with versatile baggage. Its first collection debuted in 2006 and after a decade, the duo continue to drive the brand in an entrepreneurial manner as opposed to a traditional path.
The SS16 campaign is shot in Zealand, Denmark, in a summerhouse built in 2000. As a space for artists who want to work in a serene environment with a view, MISMO is drawn to the lush landscape and architecture of the house. The brand finds the contrast and balance between both to be inspiring.
The summerhouse, built by Henning Larsen Architects, was the smallest project for the agency but received the most attention and coverage. It only made sense that MISMO features the location for this campaign.

This latest collection is a mix of contrast, texture and agility where sturdy nylons and solid leathers are paired, and graphic surfaces are characterised by different panels. To celebrate the spring season, MISMO introduces a woven jacquard wave pattern that is reminiscent of sea waves.
This season includes new style like the M/S Everything duffle which will be great for spontaneous trips, the M/S Beach tote that is perfect for beach season, and the sleek M/S Capsule will keep your valuables safe.
There’s many cross cultural elements to the brand – it’s a Danish brand with a Spanish name and the styles are produced in Istanbul with fabrics from Italy. The duo’s ethos is to ensure all aspects of the brand contributes to the greater good and this is why the MISMO has continuously produced charming elegance.
